Dubai, Dec 4, – United Arab States Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdulah bin Zayed on Wednesday voiced his country’s readiness to strengthen relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran in all the spheres.
He made the remarks in a meeting with his Iranian counterpart, Mohammad Javad Zarif who is currently on a visit to UAE as part of his tour to Persian Gulf Arab states.
During the meeting, the two ministers stressed the need to deepen bilateral ties.
Expressing pleasure with his Tehran visit last week, bin Zayed declared UAE’s interest to strengthen ties in all economic, political and cultural domains.
He underlined mutual cooperation in bilateral, regional and international levels.
Zarif, for his part, said that deepening brotherly relations with the neighboring states, the UAE in particular, tops Iran’s foreign policy agenda.
“My tour to UAE reveals our interest to promote ties,” he said, calling for increased consultations to work out an executive plan for mutual collaboration.
Contending that Iran-5+1 Group nuclear deal is a great step in line with peace, stability and calm in the region , Zarif said that the nuclear agreement will encourage collective and multilateral cooperation in the region.
The Islamic Republic of Iran favors maintaining stability, security, calm and moderation in the region, Zarif added.
Iran foreign minister said that consolidating ties and reliance on commonalities will help pave the way to narrow differences.
“We are after developing ties for the benefit of both nations.”
