Iran’s Police Chief Brigadier General Esmail Ahmadi-Moghaddam said on Thursday that hotlines were established between Iranˈs police force and its counterparts in the neighbouring countries for security proposes.
Speaking to IRNA in this southern province, Ahmadi-Moghaddam said the Iranian police enjoy close cooperation with the neighbouring countries police forces to promote regional security.
He made the remarks in a press conference held in the Persian Gulf Island of Kish.
The brigadier general underlined that regional security should be provided through ˈcollective efforts of all regional states.ˈ
He stressed that only borders are not enough for maintaining security.
Ahmadi-Moghaddam added Iranˈs police enjoy very positive interaction and cooperation with its counterparts in neighbouring states to tackle drug-trafficking and settle border issues.
