IPSC: Iran urges regional cooperation against terrorism

Tehran, Nov 26,  – Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani said Tuesday the recent twin terrorist bombings in front of Iranian Embassy in Lebanon indicated the need for further regional cooperation against terrorism.

Shamkhani made the remarks in a meeting with the visiting speaker of the Lebanese Parliament Nabih Berri who is in Tehran to discuss major bilateral, regional and international issues with senior Iranian officials.

Regional countries should not allow certain states to stir up terrorism to destabilize the region and provoke discord among different religions, Shamkhani said.
